Our approach
Home Finds Club ("we", "us") runs this website to share home products and ideas. We collect as little personal information as we can, we don't sell it, and we only use it to run the site and send the newsletter you asked for. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information you give us
- Newsletter signup. Your first name, last name, and email address. We use them only to send you our newsletter. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your details from our list.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It counts page views and general information such as browser type, device type, country, and the page that referred you. It does not use cookies, and the data stays on our own server and is not shared with anyone.
- Hosting and security. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and basic request information to deliver pages quickly and protect the site from attacks.
- Fonts. Some of our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address.
- Your preferences. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser's storage. It is never sent to us.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you follow such a link, the retailer (for example, Amazon) may set its own cookies to track the referral. Their handling of your information is covered by their privacy policies, not this one.
Advertising
We may show ads from Google AdSense and measure ad campaigns with Google Ads. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Links to other sites
We link to retailers, YouTube, and other websites. We aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies.
How long we keep information
We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe, and emails for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the conversation. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We don't sell or share personal information for money.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
